Once a Member, Always a Member

No matter what the reason is for joining, we promise that all of our members will always enjoy key benefits that make credit unions, and FFCU, different. They’ll always get exceptional service, new and innovative products, the ability to influence FFCU operations through their vote at member meetings, and they will always know they are supporting a local, cooperative banking option that was created to benefit the members, not management or share holders.

What it means to be a Cooperative

Ever wonder why credit union savings and checking accounts are called Share Savings and Share Draft?

That $5 deposit you give upon opening an FFCU membership signifies you buying your "share" in the credit union, much as you would buy a share of stock for a publicly traded company. However, FFCU is member owned.

Our members and volunteer Board of Directors (made up of members) decide on credit union policy, changes, and how the institution is operated. February 24, 2016 FFCU will host our Annual Membership Meeting. Members are encouraged to attend, listen to presentations from our Board of Directors and Leadership Team as well as have the opportunity to be nominated for a position on our next Board of Directors.

Aside from being a cooperative among our membership, First Financial and all U.S. Credit Unions work together, share ideas, and support one another to promote the financial cooperative business model.

Because of this, you can be a member of more than one credit union! You can even take advantage of Shared Branching Networks of credit unions along with Online Banking to access your accounts even while your out of town.

Credit union membership has its benefits, and FFCU wants to thank our loyal members for their commitment to supporting financial cooperatives and keeping their money local. Members can maximize their benefits by taking part in our Member Megaphone referral rewards. Inform your friends and family about the importance of banking with a financial cooperative and the positive influence we has on our community.
